80s COCA-COLA LONG SLEEVE POLO
BRAND Coca-Cola.
DESCRIPTION
A super classic from the past!
I remember in the mid 80s these Coca-Cola rugby style polo shirts were a must have.
In some schools they even had "Coke Shirt Wednesdays" - where everyone wore them every Wednesday.
They were produced in a big variety of colours alongside an entire Coca-Cola range of clothing. The details are actually pretty good quality, especially the buttons placket construction!
Coca-Cola's foray into the fashion world began in the mid-1980s with a clothing line designed by Tommy Hilfiger, then a relatively unknown designer, for Murjani Corporation. This collection, particularly the Coca-Cola rugby shirts, quickly became a fashion statement, marking Coca-Cola's transition into a lifestyle brand and solidifying its iconic status beyond beverages.
