A stunning Native American ring in silver with turquoise stones, from the first half of the last century.
Handmade by the Zuni for the Zuni (not for tourist trade).
Amazing stamped details and killer patina.
Personally I love the roughness and simplicity of the craftsmanship!
Good size for both men and women but also super cool to knot up a bandana.
The Zuni are Native American Pueblo peoples native to the Zuni River valley. Since the early 19th century the Zuni have been known for making silver and turquoise jewerly, baskets, beadwork and pottery, all of very high quality.
Many Zuni have chosen to adopt only some parts of modern American life and to maintain much of their traditional culture.
MATERIAL Zuni silver and turquoise stones.
YEAR Late 1930s.
CONDITION Great vintage condition. Unpolished to preserve the very nice patina. One of the stones is missing.
