RRL BOWERY BOOTS

BRAND Double RL (RRL) by Ralph Lauren.

DESCRIPTION
Inspired by a 1930s archive piece, the Bowery boots are the quintessential of the RRL footwear range.
These in particular are form the early production and they are way better than the current ones (and also quite collectable).
Details include:
- Benchmade in a historic shoemaking factory based in Northampton, England.
- Fully stacked leather heel with a rubber heel tap for longevity.
- Colour: Chocolate Chromexcel.
- Rounded toe.
- Lace-up front.
- Padded heel.
- Signature box and dust bag.

MATERIALS Hand-burnished full-grain leather and rubber. If I remember correct the leather is sourced in Tuscany (Italy).

YEAR 2011/12.

CONDITION Stunning condition! Minor scratches and signs of wear.
Leather is thick but extremely soft and comfortable. Lace are new (RRL waxed boots laces).
Rubber outsole and heel have been recently replaced at Fifth Avenue Shoe Repairs, Goodge Street - probably the best in town!
Please note these boots are the first version of the RRL Bowery Boots and therefore there were not issued with a Dianite sole as the current model. The leather sole underneath the rubber sole is untouched (I always add a rubber sole on leather boots to avoid slipping on the wet streets of London).
The boots have always been worn with an insole therefore the original insole is immaculate.
They always been stored with shoe-trees.
Box cover is broken on two corners.
