WW2 USN DENIM DUNGAREE PANTS

BRAND US Navy.

DESCRIPTION
These are a simply bomb!
The US Navy introduced this pattern of denim dungaree in 1943 and they were made with a baggy fit through the leg so they could be removed in water and used as an improvised floatation device.
As they were made with lightweight denim (to help them to dry quickly), nowadays is incredibly difficult to find a pair in such great condition... especially in a wearable size!

Details include:
- Button fly.
- Sailor nickname on the back - WIMPY!

Super rare and hard to come across, this beauty is a real holy grail for military, workwear and denim collectors!

FABRIC 100% cotton.

YEAR 1940s.

CONDITION Great fade. No missing buttons. One small hole (please see pictures). Plenty of stains (that in my opinion make them look even cooler). Little period repair (please see pictures). Partially worn on the hems.
Overall in great strong vintage condition - especially if you consider that these pants have probably seen some action during the WW2.

Size on tag says N/A. Please see actual measurements.
