BRAND Eddie Bauer.

DESCRIPTION
With the world starting to open up again after the 1940's, Western explorers set their sights on the Himalayas. One expedition in particular, a team of seven Americans and one British mountaineer, aimed to be the first to summit the notoriously dangerous K2 - the highest peak in the Kara Koram region and the second tallest mountain in the world.
At the time, Europe produced the best outerwear. But this predominantly American team, most with a military background and three members hailing from Seattle, were looking for alternatives made closer to home.
Enter, Seattle legend and established military name, Eddie Bauer.
The mountaineers approached Bauer in the hopes of him designing something worthy of scaling a monster like K2. Despite his declining health, Bauer rose to the task.
He drew inspiration from his past creations and equipped the expedition with a brand new, purpose-built jacket; a jacket named after the region it was destined to explore - the ‘Kara Koram’ Mountain Parka.
